What is YOGAMATIZED?

Yogamatized, as described by founder Emily Weitz, is a state of mind. “It’s that feeling of awareness you can get from a strong yoga practice, like your brain has just been dunked in ice water, and everything is awakened.” Emily is a yoga teacher who loves to help people feel yogamatized.

The goal of the yoga practice is to bring you back to the sensation that everything is aligned, that you are vibrant and present. It helps you to let go of the thoughts and feelings that distract you from this truth. By yogamatizing yourself, you are employing the brilliant tools of the ancient yoga practice to remember the truth that is always there: that you are, for all your imperfections, perfect. And that life is, for all its struggles, a gift.

Every teacher has his/her own unique gift. Emily’s passion is to connect with the heart of each student and help bring emotional balance. Whether you are nervous about your wedding day or depressed about a deep loss, the yoga practice can give you what you need to feel stable, strong, open, and present: balanced.
